ABILENE, Azerbaijan — Acevedo, Azerbaijan, July 19, 2019.
The Azerbaijani delegation, headed by Azerbaijan Minister of Tourism, Culture, Sports and Tourism Zulfan Gasparyan, held its first official session at the Embassy of Azerbaijan in the Azeri capital, Baku, on Wednesday.
The delegation is headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Tourism, Tourism, Sports, and Tourism, Gasparyaan, who is also the Deputy Minister for the Culture, Media and Sports.
Azeri-Azeri relations have been at a high point since President Ilham Aliyev’s election in September of 2020.
The relationship between the two countries has been a cornerstone of Azerbaijan’s economic growth, which has seen its GDP rise from $1.2 billion in 2014 to $6.7 billion in 2019.
In addition to the official delegation, representatives of Azerbaijan and its EU partners also met with the European Commission in Baku to discuss their plans to host the Eurovision 2018 Song Contest, which Azerbaijan is hosting.
