The Jerusalem Press is reporting that an unnamed IT department of the Israeli army recently set up an SQL server with a custom SQL query syntax.
The database was in the process of being migrated to another system, and was the result of a training session that included a presentation about a new tool for testing database queries.
According to the article, the SQL server was configured with a database name, database database_name, and an external database name.
The script was executed in a Windows system, but was also run on a Linux system.
The document states that the script could be run on multiple platforms, but that it was used to test a new query syntax that the IDF was developing.
The IDF did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the report.
A statement posted to the IDF’s Twitter account on Saturday said that the tool is in the “development” phase.
